Laos-Myanmar Bridge Work Complete

Construction work on the new Friendship Bridge that connects Laos and Myanmar across the Mekong River is now complete, and it will officially open next month, the Vientiane Times reports. Work on the 691-metre-long bridge, which is the first connecting the two countries, commenced in February 2013 and has been completed five months ahead of schedule. It will offer road crossings between Luang Namtha province in Laos and Myanmar’s Shan state.

We arrived in Pleiku today at 5pm and easily found the bus station by googling "bus station". It costed 300 000dong each and 500 000 to take our scooter. There are guesthouses right outside the station which would have been convienent to know before we booked ours. We meet at the station at 6am. Thanks for your info.

Hi Andrea, Certainly. Please mind you may be charged extra on the first leg for bike (extra luggage). For the second leg there are usually small buses so best wrap your bike securely as it may end up as oversize luggage on the roof.
