"Brawn, Brew and Bricks: A Tour of Bayou Industrial Buildings," will give participants a chance to tour five turn-of-the-century structures. The 49th semi-annual Houston Camera Show & Sale will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 31-April 1 at the Radisson Hotel and Conference Center Hobby Airport, 9100 Gulf Freeway. More than 200 worldwide dealers will sell collectible cameras, accessories, darkroom equipment, photographic literature and images. Volunteers will work at the entrance gates, coupon boothds beverage booths, volunteer headquarters, arts and crafts markets, lunchtime concerts and the international artists' parade. The shifts will be from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., 2-6 p.m. and 5:30-8 p.m. Volunteers will have free admission, a T-shirt and an invitation to the kick-off party on April 12. 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Market vendors will be selling clothing, purses, jewelry, household items, food, and more. The Houston Arboretum and Nature Center conducts guided nature tours at 2 and 3 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays at 4501 Woodway Drive. Campers will spend each morning at the E.L.M. Nature Sanctuary doing crafts, games and educational activities. The Company OnStage, 536 Westbury Square, will present All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten every Friday and Saturday evening from Frinday through April 28. Tickets are $12 with discounts for groups, senior citizens and students. Salvatore Scarpitta will feature his wrapped paintings, reconstructed sprint racer cars, sleds, drawings and biographical films. The Black Nurses Association of Greater Houston will present a symposium on women's health from 8:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. April 7, at Prairie View A&M University's College of Nursing, 6436 Fannin. The Houston chapter of the Society of Children's book writers and illustrators meet at 7 p.m. the first Monday of each month in the Eagle Room of Houston Community Colleges Town & Country campus. MOMS Club of Soutwest Houston, a support group for stay-at-home moms, offering weekly activities, outings and playgroups, meets the last Monday of each month at 10:30 a.m. at Tracy Gee Community Center 3599 Westcenter Drive. The Palmer Drug Abuse Program will hold its 30th annual reunion convention June 23-24, at the Crowne Plaza Medical Center, 6701 S. Main St. It will honor the memory of Father Charles Wyatt Brown, founder of the Palmer Drug Abuse Program. The group uses music, relaxation, guided imagery, discussions and experiential exercises to support members during grief. Clutterless Recovery groups, nonprofit self-help groups for people whose cluttering or hoarding has caused blockages in their lives, meet from 7:30-9 p.m. Tuesdays at First Church of Religious Science, 6600 Harwin Dr. For more information, call 409-763-2082. The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, 1515 Holcombe Blvd., is recruiting volunteers to assist with the patient/family business center, in the clinic and with the childrens art project.
