3) Send refund to account staff and write the total amount, date and booking number in the log book. 
4) Next, save the copy passport of customer into file passport for year 2017. 12.00 p.m - 1.00 p.m lunch break. 
5) Answering call in from customer or branch and make sure which department they want to connect and talk with who, especially for ticketing and cruise package. 
6) Write total bag out for today in bag monitoring card.

1) 8.37 a.m punch card. I need to open all the system that will be used to doing my jobs, such as call monitoring system, POTO TRAVEL & TOURS website, E-card system and website of CHUBB insurance.
2) Next, as usual I must to answering call and must to explain about the new price of package to customer.
3) My manager gave a talk on how to fill in the booking form E-Card after the promotional of post Matta.
4) I must to key in the name of customer in call monitoring system. 
12.00 p.m - 1.00 p.m lunch break.  
5) I need to take noted name and telephone number of the customer if necessary to remind the person in charge to call them back. 
6) Send slip payment to account staff and write into the log book. 
7) I help the staff to key in booking for package to Osaka, Kyoto, Kobe in May.
8) Write customer address in consignment notes to courier back pack.

2) Next, I have to write the slip payment from customer to the log book.

3) I also have to check file of pack list for a package to Lombok and should ensure that all names and customer information is the same as the name and details in their passport.
4) I need to send the refund payment to staff in the accounts department and make two copies to be saved in a file.

4) Go to human resource department and write in the meeting room monitoring card to booking for sale department for the month of fasting. I must to write the date and the time to use the meeting room.

2) Open E-card system and type the tour code to call all customer that buy the package to Hanoi to confirm their address for courier the bag pack. 
3) Write the customer address in consignment notes and remark in E-card system. 
4) Post invoices to customer for package to Cambodia then, I need to fill in the letter out form for today. 
5) Call staff who handle for courier bag and remind him about courier bag for today. 12.00 p.m - 1.00 p.m lunch break. 
6) Wrapping bag pack and trolley bag and arrange it properly in front door of sale department. 
7) Recheck all list of customer to make sure all the information are correct and same with their passport for package to Hanoi.

3) Key in three customer for booking to Eastern Europe by using E-card system. 
4) Discuss in group for Matta fair strategy to decorate our booth. 12.00 p.m - 1.00 p.m lunch break. 
5) I learned how to key in weekly sale activity in Microsoft Excel.
6) As usual I need to send slip payment to account staff and write in the log book. 
7) Follow up call with customer to confirm their address to post their bag pack.

4) I and all the staff Poto Travel & Tours have to attend a meeting at three o'clock this afternoon to find out about the group that won the highest sale on Matta Fair event and for individual awards.

1) I still need to distributed the flyers and magazines to people that come to this event. Tomorrow is the last day for Matta Fair march.
2) Next, I will try my best to get their address and phone number for customer database. 
3) I feel so tired but it was a sweet memory to be the exhibitor for this event. 
4) Tell the serious buyer about cruise package.
5)  I have to shout to attract attention of the visitors by saying buy 1 free 1. Staff and student interns involved in this Matta fair will get free food for lunch.
6) Before we close deal with customer we need to check at seat monitoring to know how many seat are available.

1) 8.30 a.m punch card. I need to know the documents required by the customers who have bought insurance in case of any unexpected problems. One problem that often occurs is a personal accident, medical expenses and baggage delay.
2) Other than that, I had to reread the countries that require a visa to travel in their country. 12.00 p.m lunch break.
3) Today I need to post a letter to customers who have purchased a package. the content of the letter is on the invoice and itinerary.
4) I was appointed as secretary of the group to list all the opinions from our group for strategy on Matta Fair 2017.
5) I have to answer calls from customers and other branch staff.

5) I also had to learn how to fill out the booking form by e-card system. Then, booking form that has been filled, it has to be checked again by the staff in charge for each sector.

7) 5:30 p.m - 6:30 p.m today, I have a meeting with the group for the promotion of Matta Fair.

1) Today is my last day experience in Matta Fair for Poto Travel&Tours. Seriously, this experience make me think positive and get more motivation to do the best in tourism industry. Its not easy to achieve oir target sale because this year, Malay people less come to this event more than other race. 
2) This event also give an opportunity to many agency especially for ground operator to marketing their new product idea. 
3) I also need to be brave and confident when I try to make a close deal with potential customer. Besides that, I also fill in the follow up form for custimer that request to travel with private package. 
4) My team was so sporting and always help each others to reach our target sale. We respect each other and try to find a new strategy to attract people for buy our package.

2) Internship site visit from Madam Hazzyati from UMK with my sale manager which is Mdm Zarina from 10.38 a.m - 11.40 a.m. 
3) Open the websites and follow the changes occur in the email on itinerary. 
4) I must go to human resource department and give all the leave application form to the staff who handle for it. 
5) Send slip payment to account staff and write in the log book.

The Travel Bug Is Biting Again.

I haven't travelled much this year. Due to my daughter Azini's forty days  confinement at home after delivering Mohamad Aniq, we took a short rest in Perhentian Kechil Terengganu staying at a budget resort on in March this year. The two Perhentian Islands are definitely worth a visit by anybody who loves the sun, sand and sea due to its accessibility, beauty and affordability. I will blog about these island paradise soon.
Another one of my plan was to join Wan Izzudin Sulaiman and his wife for a trip to Sri Lanka and from this island, hop across to another paradise islands of Maldives in August. However we aborted this plan due to the ongoing house renovation which took a big chunk of our budget. So the plan to visit Sri Lanka remains a plan.
Being idle most of the times My itchy fingers started playing on the keyboards of my computers when I saw affordable flights and hotels in Manilla on The Air Asia website. These online advertisement via emails are definitely effective and many companies like Air Asia use them to the hilt. I am one of those who often succumb to temptations of anything that seems to be cheap and affordable. With the abettement of the other half, we bought a package of flight plus hotel in Manilla slated for November 2015. It will be a four days three night package just to cover Manilla.
My pilot son often mentioned the beauty of Lombok in Indonesia and the many other smaller islands near it. Lombok was one of the night stays whenever he flew to that destination. Being near to Bali which we last visited a month after the Bali bombing massacre quite a long time ago. Doing Lombok and Bali again seems exciting. Back to the keyboards again and we found suitable hotel accomodation in Mattaram Lombok and booked Favehotel in August. In Bali, La Walon Hotel in Kuta was our earlier choice. Both were booked via Booking.com which allows for payment at the hotels and free cancellation if done within the time limit should there be any change of plan later. La Walon was later changed to the newer Favehotel right smack in the heart of Kuta. All done online without any charge by Booking.com or the hotel involved.
The earlier plan was for a 4 days 3 nights stay in Lombok and 5 days 4 nights stay in Bali. The plan was reversed when our son Azrin told us that there is more to see and do in Lombok since we have done Bali before. Hey via Booking.com such a thing can be done in a jiffy.
The current intinerary now is:
12th August 2015
KBR - KUL, KUL - Lombok
16th August 2015
Ferry ride to Bali
19th August 2015
Denpasar - KUL, KUL - KBR.

1) 8.20 a.m punch card. There are some new packages that I have read and memorize that will be sold by Poto Travel&Tours such as the packages to Sri Lanka Maldives, Zhangjiajie, Sydney and Melbourne for pre Matta Fair on 25/2/2017 up to 19/03/2017. 
2) Next, must to read about 5 types of discount for Matta Fair for example shocking deals, Flexi4, discounts awards and many more.
3) My next job is to create a list of pax revised to ensure that all customer information is the same in their information in the passport. After I have finished reviewing, their need my signatures as proof of my review of the pack list. 12.00 p.m lunch break.
4) I have to answer calls from customers and other branch staff. I also need to submit and write the slip payment at account department.

1) Today I introduce myself to all sale department staff and learn how to use the punch card attendance. I get to Poto Travel&Tours before 9:00 a.m and 9:29 a.m I was given a punch card for attendance systems. 
2) I need to open website of Poto Travel&Tours to see all the packages offered for this year.  I need to learn more about the packages in the area of Southeast Asia because the package is quite cheap and in great demand by customers. 12.00 p.m lunch break.
3) I also learned about how to copy a payment slip into the log book provided. I can not make any mistakes because all involve money and must be filled in completely.

4) Today all staff have received an email from the human resource department, the head quarters and branch all except Segamat and Johor Bahru will close on 26th and 27th May to celebrate the month of Ramadan year 2017. So my last day for internship on 25th May.
5) Last work for today is I need to help marketing department to insert the Umrah package flyers into Series Departure flyers.

2) I also have to ask the person in charge to know about trip cancellations and changes in travel arrangements which is itinerary. 
3) Next, I need to issue insurance for customer for Turkey Laluan Sutera package and must to ensure the customer has made full payment in E-Card system. Besides that, I also must to read the remark in E-Card system whether the customer want to buy insurance or not. 
4) Besides that, I also have to go to operation department, take stock off jacket insurance to attached with certificate of insurance for customer. 12.00 p.m - 1.00 p.m lunch break. 
5) Make a copy of customer passport, to be saved in passport file year 2017.
6) Load Factor Meeting held on every Wednesday is applicable to the sale target by person in charge and solve new problems which occur in some package.

1)I arrive to Ajlaa Village Resort at 7.00 pm with others staff department. This outing aim to make sure the sales department, operational department and product development department can know each other much better to work together until we can reach the company goals.
2) My room have five members and my leader room was operation staff. I feel so happy cause I can involve in this outing. We Start with ice breaking in this program at 10.00 pm until 2.00 a.m. As an intern student I introduce my self, what is my hobby, my status and why I choose Poto travel to do my internship. We start our dinner at 9.00 p.m.

1) We have such a great time together on this day because we do a lots of activity such as playing pool valley ball, Water balloon, menara condong that use ping pong ball, and many more.
2) I in group C and all of us are very sporting and always support each others and manage to win one game. At night we have BBQ time and all the food are really nice.

1) This is the last day for our outing. At 9.30 a.m we breakfast together then can do any activity we want until 11.30 a.m because need to check out at 12.00 pm. 
Before we end this program we focus our boss En. Aisham at his speech and me as a intern student also need to give a speech on behave of others intern student. Lastly, 
we take a lots of picture to make in as a sweet memories. 
2)  In conclusion I can understand the importance of cooperation between three department because without one department the package will not be sold successfully. Therefore, cooperation and mutual understanding is something which is very important in an organization.

1) 8.22 a.m punch card. My first task this morning is to wrap the bag pack and trolley bag to post to customer for the package to Balkans.
2) Send refund form to account staff, photocopy the refund form and save to refund form file.
3) I have to arrange all bag that was wrapped in front of the main door of sale department. 12.00 p.m - 1.00 p.m lunch break. 
4) I need to issue insurance to the customer for Europe London package and must to ensure the customer has made full payment in E-Card system.
5) Send Cheque to human resource staff and write in the log book. 
6) Key in all call information through call tracking monitoring system.
7) At 4.45 p.m, all sale department staff and interns student need to attend the meeting with the Vice President to determine the direction of the target sale this year.

I have decided to continue blogging after a long layoff. My last post was on 7th. December 2010. Until this morning I thought it was the last and I would cease to post any new post and would let the site be dormant for as long as I was in no mood to continue blogging again.
There is nothing specific that made me lay off from posting a new post. The only reason that immediately comes to mind is laziness, the lack of enthusiasm, lack of interest as so many other bloggers who can be considered as my peers has passed on or has vanished from the blogosphere without any parting post. The demise of Captain Yusoff Ahmad of The Ancient Mariner, Ruby Ahmad, Dalilah Tamrin's One Breast Bouncing and now Zaharan Razak of 'I' of the Storm is lying a comatose in a hoispital somewhere in Trengganu, and several other bloggers such as Mat Salo of Borneo Blues and The Pirate of Pulau Kapas with his blog Capt's Longhouse has all gone quiet, the blogosphere that I was comfortable in becomes lonely and desolate. Slowly I too went quiet.
Now I am waking up. I have a life to live and share whatever I have to share with my family and friends via this blog. This blog will continue to be the life within me. This blog will only die when I die.
After two weeks of soul searching in the holy lands of Medina and Mecca, I thought I would come back rejuvenated. My life should have been alive on the day I set foot on Malaysian soil again. Alas it was not to be and it took me a full month to begin.
Beside making new post again, I will begin painting again. There are a couple of painting which I promised to do for my friends and family but I have yet to fulfill their request. Namely Pakpayne with the almost finished Traditional Fishing Boat, HJ Angus for his Sunrise at KB's Waterfront, a painting for my son Azrin and daughter Azini since both of them has just moved in into their new homes.
One activity which I didn't stop was gardening. I did manage to clear a small patch on the vacant land in front of my house and I planted some chilli plants, some kangkong and some angled loofah. All of them are bearing now while the kangkong has been providing me with an endless stream of fresh green vegetables.
Since the last posting in December I have been blessed with two grandsons. First to come was Razeen Ilham the son who is 4 months old and he is the fourth child for my son Azrin and Yanie while Airil Hafizi is almost two month old son of my son Azuan and Ijjah. Their coming to this world was a joyous occasion which deserved a post on my blog at least as a matter of records. Unfortunately they came at a time when I just wasn't in the mood to write anything.
With this post, I hope to be back to my normal self and continue to do what I used to do before, sharing the joy of life with my family and friends.

2) I need to make a call to all customers who have purchased a package to Chiang Mai Chiang Rai, Thailand and Turkey to confirm they give correct address for courier their bag pack or trolley bag. 
3) As usual send slip payment to account staff and write in the log book.
4) Go to human resource department and take stock of sellotape to wrap the back pack.
5) Wrapping bag pack for customer to post according to their address and need to finish it before 4.00 p.m.  
6) I should make one copy for each passport for the trip to Korea Saigon and save it in a passport file.

1) Today is my big day because for the first time I come to Matta Fair as a Poto Travel & Tours team.
2) I need to distributed the magazines to everyone. 
3) I get a chance to closed deal with customer to buy a pakej to South Africa. 
4) Know how to distributed flyers and magazine to the right person. 
5) Although tired to stand in a long time to distribute flyers but this experience is very difficult to be obtained.
6) I must to take a customer database to make sure they can get free post of magazine for every promotion.

1) 8.20 a.m punch card. First job for today are answering calls and mostly its from other branches. 
2) Make a copy of customer passport and save it into passport file. 
3) All staff have to take fifty magazines that are edited with the sticker to be distributed to the public according to their own way.
4) Go to operation department and take a customer document and pass to the person in charge at sale department. 12.00 p.m - 1.00 p.m lunch break. 
5) Next, send slip payment from customer to account staff and write into the log book. 
6) Send refund form to account staff and make two copy for person in charge and account staff. 
7) If there are customers who ask about the date of the desired package I need to make sure the date is still available or already closed before reverting to the customer.
8) Key in booking customer in E-card system and need to make sure the total amount of package is same with the price in website.

1) 8.21 a.m punch card. I need to open an E-Card system to make a call to the customer by the tour code number to ensure their addresses in the system is correct and write in to consignment notes. 
2) After that, I have to ask the customer whether they want the bag pack bag or trolley bag. Next I will go into a storage bag to wrap the bag that will be given to the customer. All in and out of bag I must to write in the bag 12.00 p.m - 1.00 p.m lunch break. 
3) As usual I have to send the slip payment to account staff and write in the log book.
4) Next, send refund for customer to account staff and also need to write the information in the log book.
5) Besides that, I will remind the person in charge for certain package to  return call customer after their come back from lunch at 2.00 p.m. 
6) If there are customers who want to buy a domestic flight to travel, they should seek confirmation from the person in charge flight details in advance about the package they buy.

3) I have to fill letter out form to post invoices to customers.
4)  As usual, I have to send slip payment to account staff and copy in a log book. 1.00 p.m lunch break.

2) I need to read the memo about changes of flight schedules. I must to refresh website for new updated itinerary.
3) For Matta fair campaign in the  2017. My group has made the division of sectors that need to be focused with each partner. I have read and memorize travel packages to sector Southeast Asia and East Asia.
4) I have a task to help marketing department to post the magazine for Matta Fair to customer and branches. We need to post for 10 000 magazine for today but we only can finish for 5 000 magazine only. We will continue on the next day. Our lunch was sponsored by our boss, Mr. Aisham.

3) Next, I learned how to issue insurance if the package to Turkey because of differences in the calculation of the day. 12.00 p.m lunch break.
4) After that, learned how to wrap the bag to post to the customer and must to make sure the bag in good condition. 
5) I also answer the call of the customer and will pass it to the person in charge if they wish to make a booking.

5) I must to issue insurance for customer that buy a package to Guilin in this month. I have to issue individual insurance, family insurance and insurance spouses.

My last post on this site was done on Friday, September 13, 2013 with the title of Guilty Feeling. That post wasn't even completed and the sentence wasn't even a complete sentence. That was how bad things were with the bloggers due to the shift to Facebook as the preferred social media. By now a few of our prolific fellow bloggers namely Captain Yusof Ahmad of the blog The Ancient Mariner, Dalilah Tamrin of One Breast Bouncing, Zaharan Razak of Zaharan zveloyak and Zorro of zorro-unmasked has passed on (may their souls rest in peace). Those are that I know. Maybe a few others too had passed on but unknown to me. Some may have gone into obscurity and never appear anywhere on any social media and never made contact with any of our fellow bloggers.
Today I had a surprise call from Kak Teh (Zaharah Othman) of Kak Teh's Choc-a-Bloc Blog on her Facebook page calling for all bloggers to hit the keyboards again beginning on 6th of May 2015. I can't wait for that date and so I am jumping the gun not that because I want to make a head start but to alert other bloggers of that era to do the same on this coming May 6. Some including myself doubt the ability to remember our passwords with some even doubting their ability to recall the names of their blog. Those who claim to have forgotten their passwords were reminded to use the Forgot Your Password button to regain their passwords since they have forgotten about the existence of such a facility.
So with this post, I am kick starting my blogging on Life As I See It...

5) I need to issue insurance to the customer for Balkans package and must to ensure the customer has made full payment in E-Card system.

4) I need to open my intern email and open all the mail. Then, I must to read the conversation in the Skype to  make sure I know about the important news.
5) I have been given guidelines on how to make correction in issue Insurance because I've made some mistakes.

1) 8.50 a.m punch card. Answering calls from customer and pass to person in charge for the package that customer ask. 
2) Key in booking to Osaka Japan for customer in E-card system and need to make sure the total amount of package is same with the price in website. 
3) If I receive a call from any financial institution that wants to talk to the Vice President for sale department which is En. Aisham, I have to make sure Mr. Aisham know about them before connecting the call. 12.00 p.m - 1.00 p.m lunch break.
4) Send slip payment to account staff and write in the log book. 
5) If the person in charge is answering a call or busy, I have to take the information about customer name and phone number that want to connect call with he/her and continue skype the person in chage of customer information so they can be contacted again.
6) Check all name in the list for package to Lombok Indonesia.

1) 8.44 a.m punch card. This morning I was given the job to wrap trolley bag for the mail to customers who have purchased a holiday package group to Istanbul in march. Total trolley bag should I wrap is 18 bags. I also need to insert the paper earlier warning to them as a reference. If there is a plastic is damaged or torn, I need to wrap the bag with a new one plastic.
2) I have to answer calls from customers and other branch staff. If I can not answer the questions of my clients have to connect the line to the workers who are more expert about a particular travel destination.
3) I need to do the same work which is wrapping the trolley bag for customer that buy the package to Korea Saigon. 12.00 pm lunch break.
4) As usual I must to send the slip payment from customer to account staff and write in the log book. 
5) I need to take file letter form to fill out to post a letter and must be signed by the staff named Mr. Nik.

1) 8.56 a.m punch card. My job this morning is to wrap the pack bag and trolley bag for the post to customers who buy a package to South Africa. In addition I have to send copies of consignment notes to the staff on duty to manage it.
2) In addition, I have to fill the total bag that was taken out from the store into the bag monitoring card.
3) Arrange all the bag outside the sale department door properly.
4) Key in call information from customer or staff in call monitoring system. 1.00 p.m - 2.30 p.m lunch break.
5) Answering call from customer and pass the line to the right person in charge.

1) 8.40 a.m punch card. On this day all the staff the sale department is obliged to wear corporate clothes Poto Travel & Tours because there was a special ceremony to welcome the guests of an artist in Malaysia. I need to borrow the clothes of staff of department operation.
2) After that, I had to help marketing staff to post the magazine in the post to loyal customers with this travel agency. Mostly my work today are helping them until the office close. 
3) Mark Adam visit to Poto Travel & Tours at Taman Shamelin to support us for Matta Fair event. We create a live video with him to be our advertisement for media social.

1) 8.32 a.m punch card. Today I need to paste the sticker on March Matta Fair magazine photo travel to cover the event date. Magazines are already in paste stickers will be distributed in the appropriate place mainly in place to make the sale.

4) Take a consignment notes from staff named Pok Nik's to post customer back pack.

1) Today is my second day follow this Matta fair strategy program for 2017.
2) I was very impressed and very pleased to be given the opportunity to participate in this program. This is because too many tips and ways that have been shared by workers who are experienced on how to captivate the customer to travel with Poto Travel&Tours.
3) All employees were divided into groups and each group was given a motivation to achieve the highest sales target to get the special prize from company. Each group leader will also have to make a presentation on the most effective strategy to use in Matta Fair event. The group contributed the most creative ideas will also get their cash prize of RM500.
4) This program ends with words of encouragement by En. Rahman, our CEO of Poto Travel&Tours for all of its employees to always move forward to achieve the success.

3) Next, I must to send the Amman Baitulmaqdis itinerary to customer because want to changes the package. 
4)  Answering calls from customer and other branch. 
5) Today is the last day of the promotion Matta fair price for tour packages in Poto Travel & Tours. 12.00 p.m - 1.00 p.m lunch break. 
6) Start from today I need to key in all call to call tracking monitoring system for in and out. 
7) Issue insurance for customer that buy package to Korea Jeju.

1) 8.53 a.m punch card. I need to issue insurance to the customer for Turkey package and must to ensure the customer has made full payment in E-Card system.
2) Next, must to answering calls from customer and explain to them about new package and promote all the push product. 
3) Take nine piece of consignment notes at account department for courier bag to customer.  
4) Send slip payment from customer to account staff and write in the log book. 12.00 p.m - 1.00 p.m lunch break. 
5) Send refund form for customer who cancel to buy the package to account staff and also need to write in the log book. 
6) Key in call information in call monitoring in and out for today. 
7) Check name list of customer for issue their ticket flight to Saigon.
