A Woman with Balls

by Kim Arvin Faner @

Little did Angel know that her seeming ridiculous hatred towards me was mutual. Brought up in a Catholic family and straight from a Catholic high school, I had a secret prejudice against cross-dressers. To me, they did not have to go as far as dressing and acting like women to rub it in people’s faces that they do not identify themselves as men. To me, I was better than Angel and the countless other transgenders who slave themselves in beauty parlors. And I let this unspoken pride and prejudice thrive in my chest, even as I talked face to face with her. I didn’t know any better.

Think Nepal: Help if You Can

by b brian topaz @

In some ways, the Nepalese approach to life and death, and in this case, tragedy, are very different than that of most westerners. Some might say their outlook is stoically admirable in a general sense. The overwhelming majority of the people in Nepal practice Hinduism, with beliefs in karma (action, intent, and consequences), Dharma (duties, ethics), Samsara (the continuing cycle of birth, life, death and rebirth), and Moksha (liberation from samsara or liberation in this life), as well as the various Yogas (ways to attain Moksha). Nevertheless, a tragedy is a tragedy, and we, as a global community, owe it to them (Dharma), and to ourselves (karma), to help our fellow humans whenever and wherever we can, with donations, large or small, with whatever we can afford. Please give if you can. Below is a link where you can choose for which organizations you would like to donate.

Are all Gays “Boys” in Vietnam?

by admin @

I don't need to give you any deep insight to the meaning of the word “gay.” I think most people will know that it has the archaic meaning of “happy.” When “gay” started to be used in English to mean “homosexual,” it was eventually exported as such to the rest of the world. “Gay” for “homosexual” is now a common word in many languages like German and Japanese and also now in Vietnamese. However, in Vietnam, the words “gay” or "boy" do not always mean the same thing.

Gay Life in Austria

by Richard Ammon @ GlobalGayz

GlobalGayz - Gay travel and culture worldwide: stories, photos, news

Austria has a dramatic history in Europe . During the 17th and 18th centuries, Austria became one of the great powers of Europe. In response to the coronation of Napoleon I as the Emperor of the French, the Austrian Empire was officially proclaimed in 1804. In 1867, the Austrian Empire was reformed into Austria-Hungary. In 1938 Austria was occupied and annexed by Nazi Germany. This lasted until the end of World War II in 1945 after which a Provisional Austrian Government was set up and legally recognized by the Western Allies in the following months. It was not until 1955 that Austria regained full sovereignty. Since then "Gay Life in Austria" has vigorously emerged and celebrates the truth and beauty of same-sex love including gay marriage.

HO CHI MINH - Holiday Houseboys

Holiday Houseboys

HO CHI MINH, VIETNAM Formerly Saigon, Ho Chi Minh is a vibrant city filled with motorbikes. Certainly not an easy city to drive in and renting a car is not recommended. Best to hire a driver. The parks come alive in the morning as workers attend their morning fitness classes before going to work. Go to the Botanic Garden and Zoo at 7.30 am and you will see what I mean. The place to be is definitely in District 1. It is the home of the major buildings such as the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Post Office and the Opera House. The War Remnants Museum is a must see and reflects the horror and futility of past wars. For a more in depth insight into this, you can always take the Chu Chi Tunnel Tours. There are shows to be seen as well. The A O Show is well recommended and so are the Water Puppet Theatres. Don’t think that Vietnam is behind the trends. With department stores  such as Parksons, top brand name shops  and a shopping centre called the Vincom Centre, your shopping addiction can be satisfied. But you don’t have to go far to go shopping. The Ben Thanh market will tax your bargaining skills and is renowned for their persistent sellers. There are also many street vendors that will try to sell you their wares from motorbike helmets to cut out cards. There are all types of restaurants available and at all prices. Go local for spicey beef noodle soup or fine dining at a French restaurant such as La Villa French Restaurant. Try their juices too made from soursop, a white sweet fruit related to the dreaded durian. Cruise dining is also possible on the Saigon River. Hi Chi Minh is a vibrant city full of surprises catching up with the latest shopping trends and many interesting tourist attractions, but throttled by a huge traffic problem. You cross the road at your own risk. Dynamic, bustling, historic, beautiful and charming.   To book one of the Holiday Houseboys please go to the enquiry form or send an email to holidayhouseboys@hotmail.com or send a whatsapp to +94-76-630 1069.

Gay Life in Estonia 2017

by Richard Ammon @ GlobalGayz

GlobalGayz - Gay travel and culture worldwide: stories, photos, news

In 2014 the Estonian parliament passed a gender-neutral Civil Partnership Act on a close vote of 40 to 38. It was a major achievement that resulted from much lobbying and persuasion of the congress. It was a gain for LGBT citizens and for the country itself as it continued its growth away from half a century of brutish control by the Soviet bear next door. The Civil Partnership Act came into effect on January 1, 2016. This was a milestone event also as Estonia became the first ex-Soviet country to legalize same-sex partnerships. The new law acknowledges civil unions for all couples, regardless of the gender of the partners, and grants same-sex couples rights and responsibilities similar to marriage between heterosexuals.

It was very intriguing in that it is about what happens when an Asian guy and an Anglo guy get together for a one-night stand.
